Oak St. Apartments

I live on Granada and ride my bike past those slums on Palm at least twice a
day. What I know is that the meth addicts on our street regularly meet up
with people who live in those apartments. I've also seen a few "regular"
people living there, but they are very few. Mostly wrecked cars, loud music
and beer bottles in the gutter on a regular basis. And if you ever venture
down the alley adjacent to the bungalow on that property and check out
what's behind 2014 N. 8th St. you'd be disgusted. I've called every blight
and trash number I can think of and brought it to the attention of the
police, but it's all still there. Mattresses and filthy bedding and clothes
and debris strewn in the alley; evidence of people sleeping there. It's
gross. What can be done? I saw a zoning sign there last year saying
"demolition of all structures on property" and thought my prayers were going
to be answered. But nothing has happened. What was that all about anyway?
