ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:
The Border Film Project: El Proyecto Fronterizo Fotográfico (Sept 16, 2006 - Jan 28, 2007)
Immigration is one of the most contested topics of our time—and a subject of singular importance in Arizona. The Border Film Project, an artists' collaborative, distributed cameras to two factions on the frontlines of this debate: Minutemen and migrants along the U.S./Mexican border. This exhibition juxtaposes these poignant and telling images. Ibarra Rosano Design Architects of Tucson designed the installation to create a neutral platform for discussion and to encourage realization of the underlying issues of humanity, identity, security and survival.
