Maureen,
That's great news! The call for entries is a huge opening, so we can now move forward on developing artwork for the traffic circle(s) gates and etc.
I have a friend and co-worker who is an architecture student at ASU and he is very involved with the student AIA (American Institute of Architects). They are very interested in public works. I'll print this call for entries off for him and see how far he'll run with it.
I will also now be able to follow up with Director Patrucci (ASU School of Architecture) re: setting up some sort of design competition or at least an extra-credit project for the design studio students.
Thanks again for all your great work and thanks to Elizabeth and Andrea as well.
  -Sam

If you are an artist (or even just want to be one), please respond to the call to design the median on Virginia: http://phoenix.gov/ARTS/calltoa.html#coronado
If you know local artists, please forward this along. Maureen
