I have been in a legal partnership for 27 years. Customized to have all the
legal advantages of a "union" between two humans. Spiritually "union" needs
no approval be the state in my eyes, so that is also covered.
I consider the success of this because it does not have, not defined by, and
not entered into because of any of the "benefits" or "dependency" that is
defined by the State presently in its definition of marriage. The state
defined institution has an 80% failure rate in Arizona. They may have their
institution and definitions and continue to close the "circle" of perceived
privileges of membership in their "whatever".
Redefine your own life with the tools that are available to you to do so,
anyone in a successful relationship will tell you where their success came
from..it was probably not the "benefits" bestowed by the state. But the
desire to work together to form a life together under "their" "mutual"
definitions of what that relationship is and the desire to have it evolve
and change through the years.

PS are those red signs at the intersections for you to stop your car??????
I thought they were personal instructions about my opinions. (joke).

Subject: Re: Protect Our Community!
Proposition 107 is about discrimination. And anything that seeks to legalize
discrimination has no place in the United States of America.
It is about dividing our citizens and creating a second class. I will not
stand for it.
This affects ALL domestic partnerships, gay or hetero. Dr. John Sperling,
founder of University of Phoenix, is against this because it affects many of
his employees and because it is fundamentally wrong. There is also much
opposition to Prop 107 from university administrations. Arizona universities
already have a hard time attracting the best teachers and administrative
professionals. The lack of domestic partnership benefits would be one more
reason NOT to come to Arizona. And this is the same for our workforce in
general.

As the election draws near, Arizona voters will soon be deciding whether or
not to put discrimination in the Arizona Constitution. The LGBT community
has a tremendous opportunity to come together to oppose Proposition 107,
which would ban gay marriage and any form of domestic partnerships. Let's
Unite Against Prop 107!
Don't be fooled into thinking that this amendment wouldn't affect you
personally. Even though LGBT people don't have marriage equality now that
doesn't mean we should ignore this ballot measure. This is a mean-spirited
initiative that is using our community - you and me! - as a scare tactic to
raise money and motivate extremists to go to the polls.
And...don't forget...this initiative will take away domestic partner
benefits from gay and lesbian couples. This initiative would make it
illegal for any government agency to recognize domestic partnerships or
offer same-sex partners health care. Universities would be prohibited from
allowing same-sex partners to share in employee benefits, such as health
care or tuition discounts. Prop 107 would also discourage employers from
offering same-sex partner benefits, and most likely will scare major
corporations with progressive employee policies from setting up shop in
Arizona. These frightening outcomes have happened in other states that have
passed marriage bans so we know it's true and they will happen.
Don't let this happen...PROTECT OUR COMMUNITY.
