Traffic Calming for Monte Vista?

I was almost hit by one of those cars on Monte Vista the other day!

Along those same lines, how about Monte Vista??
There is a stop sign on 11th & 12th but nothing inbetween.
Cars fly down that two block stretch like grease lightening.
What do you think imp? Have you seen the dragsters?
