General Meeting - Listserv Chair

How do you plan on appointing a chair of the listserv? I would like to be
considered for the listserv chair if I may. I have references from my other
listserv if needed! I believe the other one is run fairly similar as to how
the chair and committee will work here. It is a Yahoo group and according to
them I 'own' the group and I have one other 'Moderator' who I appointed
about 8 months ago to help keep the peace so that we can make sure to keep
it monitored more often. Though technically the way we run it, the list
still belongs to the group itself, we let them make decisions on what they
want to talk about and what they deem as acceptable. If anything appears to
be getting out of hand we deal with it privately before it goes too far.
Do I need to be at the meeting to be considered for the chair position? I
really don't want to miss school if I don't have to. But I suppose if there
is no other choice, then I will.

The ListServ volunteers aren't as much appointed as they are accepted.
If you're interested in joining the committee, the more the merrier as far
as I'm concerned !!
