I also won't be able to make it to the September 7th meeting as I have class
at that time and I really can't afford to miss a class period right now. I
would love to have my name added to the ListServ committee nominations
though. What can I do to assure that happens? I would also like to have my
experience as a listserv moderator mentioned with my nomination (I've run
the Arizona Browncoats listserv with over 300 members for a year and a half
now).

Just curious, what is the process to appoint the ListServ committee? While
I cannot be at the meeting, please feel free to put my nomination forward
and consider this my offer to volunteer as a member. Can you please post
the final agenda on the listserv? One more thing, is it possible to get a
copy of the most current bylaws? I was told that ones posted on the website
are out of date.
Thanks Don, Michelle

Subject: General Meeting - September 7th
Hi Everyone,
Our general meeting for the GCNA will be held on September 7th, 2006
from 7-8pm at Emerson School's media room (10th street & Palm Lane).
On the agenda for this meeting will be:
1. The appointment of a ListServ committee:
This committee will be responsible for whatever rules/regulations
that listserv members adhere to. If you are passionate in your opinions,
here's your chance to create/maintain the list that you want !!
2. NEW presidential nominations:
Tyler's resignation has moved me from Vice President to President
until another President has been elected.
This can be me or anyone else, so if you've got a great "mind in
mind" ... Here's your chance to nominate him/her !!
Elections will take place at the following meeting in October.
These are two items that seem to be of particular importantce to
the listserv users, and I wanted to make sure that you all knew about this
well in advance of the meeting. If there are any additional matters anyone
wishes to discuss during the meeting itself, please let me know by Friday,
September 1st so that we can fit them into the 1 hour long meeting. There
will also be a discussion period immediately following the general meeting
that will last for an additional 30 minutes. Anything not addressed at the
general meeting can be discussed during this time, although no notes will be
taken and attendance by any board member is on a volunteer basis.
I know that some of you have had critiques of your GCNA board in
the past, and I openly invite each and every member of this forum to discuss
them either at the meeting or immediately following. Just PLEASE remember
that the general meeting is timed to fit one hour so that busy folks can
attend and then get back to their evening. If you have issues that you wish
to discuss during the general meeting, we MUST know about them by Friday,
September 1st. Otherwise, they can be discussed (time permitting) during
the 30 minute discussion period.
Sincerely,
Don Mertes, Acting President
