Tyler,

Here is what I have learned from our Design and Construction Management
folks:

1.	The street lights, which must be installed next, are the reason for
the delay. The contractor is waiting to hear from his subcontractor
regarding the cost of the street lights and the schedule for installing
them.

2.	Syd Anderson, Engineering Supervisor, is expecting to receive a call
from the contractor today or tomorrow. The contractor will let Syd know
when he expects to resume work.

3.	Once the contractor receives the information from his subcontractor,
we will be able to set a time line for the remaining construction stages.

4.	If there are no further complications, we anticipate the project
will be substantially complete by the end of August.

5.	Syd Anderson is the Engineering Supervisor responsible for projects
in this area of town. A neighborhood newsletter will be distributed this
week or next, and Syd can give you weekly updates if you would like.

I hope this gives you the information you need.

Ross, good afternoon,
An increasing number of Coronado residents are voicing their frustrations
and concerns about the completion of the roundabout at 12th Street and Oak.
I would very much like to give them the information they need to be
comfortable with the status of the project. If you could give me, briefly
but specifically, the following information that I could pass on to the
neighborhood I would greatly appreciate it:
1) What issues are causing the current delay?
2) What steps are being taken, and by whom, to resolve those issues?
3) What intermediate steps towards completion need to be taken and
when, specifically, will each be completed?
4) When, specifically, will the project as a whole be completed?
5) Who within the City of Phoenix is the single person who has both
the authority and responsibility to get this project moving forward and
completed?

I very much appreciate all the work that has been done by you and others
with the City to move this project forward, and I would appreciate your
getting back to me with this information at your earliest convenience. I
know the entire neighborhood will welcome the information.
Thanks much,
Tyler Storey
