I often get choked up reading some of their letters and requests.  Many request items for the local children, soccer balls, Beanie Babies, etc.  They are on their own mission of compassion. Most just want something that reminds them of home.  A simple letter seems to be the most requested item.  Dvd's, Cd's, magazines, books are also largely requested items.  I have several dvd's that are just gathering dust that I am sending. Even if you are not able to send anything, just take a moment to read some of the letters and get an idea of what life is like in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Many letters also include pictures. Also, please pass this info along to other caring people. It will make a difference.    Thank you!
