burglary

Just to alert you that my neighbors to the south of my home (2611 N.
8th Street), the second house north of Virginia, east side, was
broken into today between 7 a.m. and 6::00 p.m. The burglar entered
from the alley through the unlocked rear gate and jimmied open a rear
facing window. No one was home except the cat (who did not deter the
burglar/s, nor did the cat escape). Police made a report. Stolen:
social security card and passport and some jewelry. The perpetrator/s
thoroughly examined every closed door and drawer.

The up side is that the residents were not home, nor did they walk in
on the burglar/s. Still, it's a dreadfully frightening invasion of
what we assume is our safe space.

Be sure you protect (lock) any gates and, add carpet tack strip to the
top of any fences to eliminate climbing over any wall. It has worked
for me!

Think cool.
