Several Items:
It is with deep regret that our newsletter has suffered some serious set backs, one being that I recently purchased property in Rocky Point Mexico and have been spending most of my time making the Mexico project come to fruition and I will be staying in Rocky Point part of the time getting that house built. We may try to make it work for August, but my priorities have somewhat shifted and the beach house took first. If we decide to ax the newsletter altogether, I will forward all the wonderful information and articles and photos to the new administration.
Also, we lost a couple major articles due to duplication and I did not have the time, with the recent property acquisition, to replace their space.
Due to this property purchase, I am considering selling my house on 13th st. and Oak. I would rather downsize my home and have the beach home. Instead of financially struggling to have both. My home recently appraised for 817,000. It will officially be going on the MLS in about 4 weeks. I will sell it, now, as is, for 739,000 with a 10,000 thank you fee if anyone has any referrals. It will be showed by appointment only.
And lastly, I had a repair person here the other day. My dogs went out to greet him as they do anyone that comes to the door. The guy had a panic attack and fought back (on something imaginary) as if he was being attacked by killer bees. He kicked my dogs and one of my dogs "supposedly" bit him. Animal Control came out and then I filed a false bite report with animal control and filed a complaint on his behavior with quest but regardless, Animal Control stated that with any bite complaint, valid or not, they have to quarantine. Because my dog had his rabies vaccine, I was allowed to quarantine him "at my house" but had he not had the vaccine, he would have been quarantined at Animal Control and that would have cost upwards of $500 to do that, plus the trauma to my 11 year old dog . The lesson I learned is that I never vaccinated my dogs before for rabies because their hasn't been a Rabies problem in Maricopa county for 30 years.. But abiding by the law and getting him his rabies vaccine turned out to be a wonderful insurance policy. Animal Control does rabies shots for $23. Much cheaper than most vets. I also found out that if your dog is licensed, they get a free ride home and do not have to go through the kennel process if they are lost and then picked up by Animal Control which also reduces their trauma and their accessibility to other dogs' diseases in the kennel.
Thanks all...If any one has any questions, please call me direct at 602-550-4157. Also, pictures of the house can be seen at www.atmanprojects.com

p.s. Any referrals for a dog loving house sitter?. Will pay for someone to stay here, play with my dogs (and feed them), and eat bon bons while relaxing by the pool for a week towards the end of July
