Amazing how our city desires to push the bus system yet fails to attract by promotion.
Example: Portland, OR - 1970s; Oregon has element issues also,...be it rain, snow or extreme cold,...bus stops were heated, enclosed 'stations' w/ monitors indicating bus schedules for its patrons, running 24 hours daily, 7 days weekly. Hmmm. University was downtown. It was great! Growing up here, I'd never taken the bus; there, for many downtown residents/students/patrons/employees, it was the best mode of transportation.
Over thirty years ago,...imagine that. Envision that for Phoenix in our future!
