Saturday morning coffee with Vice Mayor Lingner

Come say "thank you" to our District 7 Councilman and Vice Mayor Doug Lingner for the City Council's pilot traffic circle on 12th and Oak Streets. The circle designation came as the result of requests to the city from neighbors, the Greater Coronado Neighborhood Association and the Coronado Fight Back West 2004 to calm 12th Street. At the 50% completion point, construction is already slowing traffic on busy 12th Street.   

Vice Mayor Lingner also deserves thanks for recognizing the need and supporting collector street mitigation in the 2006 bond election, making $10 million available to address cut-through and speeding problems on neighborhood collector streets such as Oak and 12th Street over the next five years.
