House Up for Grabs

Robert Young actually moved the little guest house that used to be on my property on 13th St and Oak.  it now sits two lots away behind the welcome diner.

At the time it cost 5k to move it.  However the other historic homes he has moved, the move is roughly 30K.

But the city let him buy the property to put it on at an exceptional price.

It took him a year and about 150k to restore (It was brick) and to put in utilites for the property and to upgrade what was in the home.

Anyway, if anyone is contemplating this sort of project, I can give you Robert Young's number to see if it is something to get involved with.

    I have attached a letter from the City of Phoenix regarding a house that was purchased recently.  The house is slated for demolition; however if someone qualifies they can have the house.  I am told by the previous owner that it is in very good shape.  You, of course, will need a lot to move it to.  It is located in the Evan-Churchill neighborhood so would probably have to be moved to an area in close proximity (because of the expense of moving it very far).
